New Member Checklist

Welcome to MHS! We are happy to have you as our member. As a new member, it’s very important for you to complete these tasks:

  1. Complete Your Health Needs Screening. 
    Complete the survey online or over the phone at 1-877-647-4848. Complete it within 30 days to get a $30 My Health Pays reward.
  2. Sign Up for Your Secure Member Portal Account 
    Your portal account gives you access to your secure information, such as claims, your doctor’s office’s information, My Health Pays balances, and more. You will receive an ID card in the mail, but you can also view and download a digital ID card through your portal account. 
  3. Choose Your Doctor 
    Sign in to your Member Portal account to choose your doctor, or call us at 1-877-647-4848. You can use our Find a Provider search to find a provider close to you.
  4. Visit Your Doctor
    After you choose your doctor, set up an appointment for a check-up right away. This is your new medical home.
  5. Read your Handbook and Welcome Letter
    Your Handbook and Welcome Letter (PDF) tells you about your benefits and how to use the benefits and services that are available to you.
  6. HCC Members: Take the Social Needs Survey
    Do you worry about things like where you live? Getting food every day? Getting to the grocery or doctor appointments? Feeling safe? Take the Social Needs survey in your portal account. Our team can help with many issues other than healthcare. 
  7. If You are Pregnant, Complete Your Notification of Pregnancy 
    This form is available through your portal account. Completing this form can help you start earning additional My Health Pays rewards!
