What Can I Expect from a Teladoc Visit?

  • Once you start a virtual chat or video session with your healthcare professional, you can talk about your health just like you would at a regular doctor’s visit. The doctor can give you advice, tell you what might be wrong, and give you medicine if needed.
  • Most medical check-ups take about 15 minutes or less. Most behavioral health visits last 45 minutes, just like an in-person visit.
  • If you’re making a video call, the healthcare professional may ask you to show your symptoms to better understand treatment.
  • Make sure to have your MHS ID ready when you call.

NOTE: Teladoc should not be used for trauma, chest pain or shortness of breath. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, go to the ER or dial 911.
