Equality Statement
Date: 06/18/20
To the MHS Community,
Recent tragic events have raised difficult issues for our country and communities. We have heard from many who have expressed pain and distress. We know and understand that these tragic events can cause a lot of anxiety and uncertainty.
We recognize that bias and racism exist and need to be addressed in our communities. We are committed to an equal, fair, and just society. MHS recognizes that we must raise our voices, work to drive meaningful progress and find positive ways to effect change.
At MHS, we serve, value and represent vibrant communities. These communities are diverse in thought and background. We have always been guided by principles of respect, equality, dignity and inclusion. This applies to our members, our providers, our employees and the communities we serve. These principles will continue to lead us in how we treat one another, how we listen and learn from one another, and how we come together to build a future that has opportunities for everyone.
We are here to help. We want you to know that we are listening. We are committed to supporting our members, providers, employees and communities.
Sincerely,
Kevin O’Toole
MHS President & CEO
