2017 Summit Award Winners
Date: 12/13/18
MHS recently had the pleasure of presenting the 2017 Summit Awards for outstanding quality to Windrose Health Network (WHN) and Dr. Penny Kallmyer.
We asked them to share their methods of achieving success. A common theme was regular review of care gaps. Both practices routinely check their current scorecards through the MHS Provider Portal. In addition, WHN also reviews its own data to search for care gaps. Both practices have great communication between the nursing teams, support staff and the physicians. They regularly huddle to prepare for the day and highlight which members scheduled in to be seen need particular services.
WHN and Dr. Kallmyer also use their care gap lists to systematically outreach to members before services are needed and not wait until an opportunity has passed.
Both practices exceeded the 75th NCQA HEDIS percentile for nearly every measure and hit the 90th percentile for many!
Congratulations to our 2017 Summit Award Winners!
