New statewide map available for Hoosiers seeking food assistance during COVID-19 pandemic
Date: 04/01/20
Do you or someone you know need help finding access to food right now?
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) and local partners have come together to create a statewide, interactive map to help Hoosiers during this time. Find the map online here at https://www.in.gov/fssa/dfr/5768.htm. You can access it on any desktop/laptop computer and/or mobile device.
The map will show you two types of places: food pantries and meal sites.
Food pantries are locations where you can pick up groceries to prepare and use at your homes. Meal sites serve packed meals, ready to take home and eat.
FSSA will continue to work with food pantries, food banks and community kitchens across the state to track which are open and update the map along the way.
For Marion County residents: Marion County families can also find food through the Community Compass app or by texting the word “hi” to 317-434-3758. Find out more at indyhunger.org/compass.
