Need a Ride? Transportation Services for MHS Members

MHS is proud to offer enhanced transportation services to our members. We want to make it easy to get the care you need.

All MHS members get FREE unlimited transportation services to:

• Doctor visits
• Pharmacy after a doctor visit
• Dental and vision visits
• WIC appointments
• Medicaid reenrollment visits
• MHS special events

A few exceptions:

• Hoosier Care Connect members may have a copay of $1 each way/$2 round-trip.
• HIP Basic members do not get rides to dental or vision visits. Those services are not covered by your plan. Be sure to POWER Up to HIP Plus when it’s time to re-enroll to get these benefits!
• CHIP benefits only cover emergency ambulance rides to the hospital. Call 911 for emergency transportation.

How to Schedule Transportation

Call MHS Member Services to schedule a ride. After you go to the member prompt, say “transportation.” You can speak to a live representative between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. After hours and on weekends, you can leave a message. All messages are returned within 24 hours.

Call at least three business days (72 hours) before your visit. Schedule your appointment before you call to get a ride. To find out more important info about transportation, read our brochure.
