Managed Health Services (MHS) is a proud sponsor of the upcoming Indiana Latino Expo, benefitting the Latino community in Indiana.
The 2018 Indiana Latino Expo Main Event takes place Saturday, Oct. 13 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
“The Expo allows key access to the most important areas of education, health, business, consular services, culture and sport, and they come together in one place for the interests of development and welfare of the Latino community as well as Indiana in general,” said Indiana Latino Expo President Vanessa Lopez Aguilera.
“Latinos have higher rates of obesity and suffer disproportionately from diabetes, but the health of the Latino community is also shaped by other factors including language barriers, lack of access to preventive care and lack of health insurance,” said MHS CEO Kevin O’Toole. “MHS is dedicated to our continued outreach to the Latino community, providing them with necessary health and wellness services as well as the tools to use them.”
MHS will be onsite at the Indiana Latino Expo Main Event with health and insurance information as well as healthy giveaways.
The Indiana Latino Expo (ILE) is a nonprofit statewide organization that represents a platform of opportunities for the Latino community. ILE supports various communities in creating awareness of their businesses, promoting economic development, cultural advancement and educational opportunities.
