MHS’ Healthy Lifestyles events are health fairs that offer health screenings and health information. There is also a cooking demonstration to show you how to cook a fun, tasty, and healthy meal! Employees from MHS are always at the events to answer any questions about the Hoosier Healthwise program, a healthcare program available to people living in Indiana. The events are always open to the community and free of charge.
On Sunday, more than 70 people had blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings for free! Our healthy recipe for Sunday was a delicious salmon and spinach pasta dish with a spinach side-salad.

Area families receive important screenings and health education at the 5th Annual Hispanic Latino Health Coalition of Elkhart’s Health Fair Saturday, September 12 at Elkhart Central High School.

Healthy Lifestyles Sunday June 14th, 2009

On Sunday, June 14th, 2009, Managed Health Services hosted a Healthy Lifestyle Sunday Sunday, providing free health screenings, healthy cooking demonstrations and food samplings to hundreds who attended the event at Greater New Hope Church. Health-related giveaways were awarded throughout the day and children had the chance to meet MHS mascot RosieRoo. MHS is hosting similar communitywide events throughout the state through the summer to raise awareness about the importance of annual medical exams.

Health and Wealth Expo 2009 Event Wrap-Up

Hundreds of Bloomington residents came out on Saturday, June 6th, 2009 to enjoy the first Bloomington Health and Wealth Expo. Attendees of the event had the chance to receive free health screenings from Ivy Tech, help with resume development from WorkOne, free bicycle helmets for kids provided by the Bloomington Housing Authority, and many other services and information. Children that came to the event enjoyed getting to visit with MHS mascot, RosieRoo, and jumping around in the bouncy house.
