Are you pregnant and still want to exercise? You should! It’s good for you and your baby. Just make sure to exercise with caution.

Check with your doctor before you start or intensify an exercise program. The recommendation is for pregnant women to do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.

MHS wants members to know about the risks of early births. Having a baby before 39 weeks could lead to many problems. There could be more developmental and behavioral problems for the baby. There could even be a risk of death.

Reminder: Get Your Flu Shot!

Flu season is picking up steam! According to CNN, more than half of states are reporting widespread flu activity. Health officials also say cases are more severe this year.

There have been more than 2,000 hospitalizations associated with the flu virus. Among children, there have been multiple deaths reported nationwide during this season. Flu deaths have already been reported in Indiana.
