Advice for Exercising While Pregnant

Are you pregnant and still want to exercise? You should! It’s good for you and your baby. Just make sure to exercise with caution.

Check with your doctor before you start or intensify an exercise program. The recommendation is for pregnant women to do at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.

Is It Safe to Get a Flu Shot While Pregnant?

It’s a question many pregnant women ask themselves. Is it safe to get a flu shot during pregnancy?

The answer is yes. MHS wants you to know it is safe to get a flu shot while pregnant. In fact, the CDC recommends it. Any who is pregnant should get a flu shot during flu season. This is usually early October through late March.

Stay Safe While Shoveling the Snow

MHS encourages you to stay indoors and be safe. Shovel in 1/2 hour increments and then stop to rest. Use an ergonomic shovel (bent or curved handle) and always bend at the knee, rather than at your back when shoveling snow. Please be sure to check on any elderly neighbors or those that may have any disabilities, and help them if you are able. MHS cares about you and your safety!
