Charging a POWER Account
MHS participating primary medical providers may deduct the cost of certain services from Healthy Indiana Plan members’ POWER Account. Please follow these steps when presented with a POWER Account card…
- Login to the MHS Provider Portal to use the Patient Responsibility Estimator to determine the amount chargeable to the card.
- Swipe the POWER Account card to receive immediate payment. The POWER Account card cannot be used for ER co-pays, preventive health visits, or prescription drugs.
- Submit a claim as record of services rendered within 90 days.
If your office does not have the ability to transact funds to receive immediate payment, then office will be paid through the claim submission.
