MHS Sponsors INShape Black & Minority Health Fair
MHS is sponsoring this year’s INShape Black & Minority Health Fair, hosted by the Indiana State Department of Health’s Office of Minority Health.
The 2012 health fair takes place July 19 – 22 at the Indiana Convention Center, Hall D, located at 100 South Capitol Avenue in Indianapolis. Themed “Rethink, Reset, Restart Your Health,” it’s the 27th year for the health fair, which is part of the Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration.
MHS will be onsite at the health fair, giving attendees the chance to “Ask an Expert” various health-related questions. MHS experts include MHS Chief Medical Officer Dr. Eric A. Yancy, a personal trainer, diabetic educator, obstetrics (OB) nurse, a nurse specializing in child immunizations and a presenter from MHS’ Children with Special Needs Unit. MHS will also offer members the opportunity to complete their Health Needs Screening onsite, as well as health-related information and giveaways.
The MHS booth will be open at the following times:
- Thursday, July 19: 4 – 8 p.m.
- Friday, July 20: 1 – 8 p.m.
- Saturday, July 21: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Sunday, July 22: 12 – 6 p.m.
