The Martin Luther King Community Center will host its 4th Annual Back-to-School Community and Health Fest, sponsored by MHS.
The event takes place Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Community Center, located at 40th and Illinois Streets in Indianapolis. It will feature health screenings, Hoosier Healthwise and Healthy Indiana Plan information and back-to-school supply giveaways, along with free food and music. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
“Along with being on hand at the Martin Luther King Community Center with health information and offering health screenings, MHS will also have a booth at this annual back-to-school event,” said MHS President and CEO Patrick Rooney. “We will have cooking demonstrations and food samples for the attendees as well as a personal trainer available to educate people on proper exercises. We look forward to helping the Center give students and families a healthy start back to school.”
