Dr. Yancy Talks about Asthma on Local Medically Speaking Radio Program
Tune in tomorrow! Eric A. Yancy, M.D., chief medical officer for MHS, will be an upcoming guest on locally-produced radio program Medically Speaking on Saturday, July 23. He will be discussing hot topics related to asthma, the recent EPA Leadership in Asthma Management Award MHS recently won as well as a new program MHS is introducing to help members with breathing issues deal with the summer heat.
Every Saturday morning from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on WTLC-AM (1430), the Medically Speaking program shares insightful and educational information on a variety of health-related topics. During the last two Saturdays of each month, the Marion County Health Department hosts Medically Speaking. Program host Dr. Leonard Scott interviews area experts on topics ranging from current public health trends to issues like physical fitness, nutrition, wellness and general health.
Dr. Yancy assists MHS on multiple fronts, including working with network providers and various MHS committees, assisting with clinical care standards and medical practice policies, and promoting positive MHS relations with the local medical community.
